| Question: |
 |
How is YouthNet governed? |
| Answer: |
 |
YouthNet bylaws call for a 15-member board of directors. In order to get input from the many constituencies that must be included in evolving a network, YouthNet has several advisory groups:
- YouthNet accessed parent input through an agreement with the Kansas City, Missouri School District Advisory Committee (DAC) which is comprised of parents;
- Currently, youth input is solicited through regular meetings with young people involved in youth agency programs;
- Twice yearly, the YouthNet board of directors meets with youth-agency executive directors and board members;
- Agency input is also solicited at monthly learning community meetings of youth-agency middle managers and executives as they integrate the standards they have helped to develop.
